This is my first Bargue copy completed for the Art Academy at Founder's College. We worked on these for 6 weeks in class, and many hours outside of class.

Still Life

I returned Sunday from a week-long still life work shop at The Art Academy at Founder's College in South Boston, Virginia. Cindy MacMillan patiently instructed ten students during seven days of painting that lasted up to ten hours. Each of us learned the step-by-step process of creating a beautiful still life. We enjoyed luxurious accommodations at The Inn at Berry Hill.

This still-life was completed during my first class with David Tanner in 2004 at the VMFA Studio School. David has taught me more about drawing and painting over the past few years than I learned over the last thirty.
